Listen to: Remington Steel Magnolia (Western Civ) It's a rock album, some say indie rock, some say prog rock, basically it's a guitar driven, feedback enhanced, organized chaos kind of thing. Remington Steel Magnolia is the sophomore release from Alabama based indie rockers Western Civ. (and no, "Alabama" is not a misprint!) Not too far from the path they set with their debut project "Regent Kingfish Slumberpad," these songs follow the "stream of conciousness" songwriting approach, yet you can definately hear the bands song craft skills building as they begin to layer different vocals and deeper harmonies into the raw feedback driven sound that their fans have come to expect. Since the last project was released in Dec. of 2005 Western Civ has been touring through cities such as NYC, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Winston-Salem, St. Louis and Austin during SXSW week. indiemusicxposed.com said: "Western Civ Is An Undiscovered Gem You're Shocked Hasn't Been Signed Yet!
