Aprillee Roberts brings aggression and quality musicianship together on her 5 Song SP Limited CD in a way that few independent artists are able to achieve. Influenced by such classic acts as Led Zeppelin, Zebra, Janis Joplin, Iron Maiden, and Dokken, she is able to fuse all of those influences together and create a sound that truly is all her own. The first song on the CD, "Bitterhole," is an in-your-face snarling rock song, sounding like something that might be performed by Billy Idol (if he were a she). Roberts pays homage to Randy Jackson and Zebra by covering their early-80s hit, "Tell Me What You Want," giving it new life and intensity. "Come Alone" is another rocker, "Venus Fly Trap" has a bit of an industrial hard rock flavor, while "Who Am I" is an introspective ballad, but even it retains that hard edge that Roberts has mastered.
