Cakewalk, the world's leading developer of powerful and easy to use products for music creation and recording, Intel Corporation, and OurStage.com, have come together to launch a new competition for songwriters and music producers. Dubbed "Your Music Anytime, Anyplace," the competition invites artists to submit original Rock or Urban tracks to be judged on OurStage.com by fans and a panel of music industry professionals. The top 20 finalists will be selected by fans, and the 6 grand prize winners (3 in each genre) will be chosen from the top ranked artists on OurStage by a panel of industry experts.

From September 23, 2009 through November 21, 2009, entrants will submit an original song at www.OurStage.com/go/AnytimeAnyplace in both Rock and Urban music genres. Entrance in the competition is absolutely free. Submissions may be created using any recording solution; however, a fully functioning trial version of SONAR Producer will be made available for download for any musicians without recording software.

"Inspiration can happen anytime, anyplace and we want to make it easier for artists to capture those ideas as they happen," said Carl Jacobson, Cakewalk's vice president of marketing. "Cakewalk has come together with Intel and OurStage.com to provide today's best songwriters and producers with an opportunity to win the ultimate mobile studio."

"OurStage offers an extraordinary online voting platform for finding emerging talent, with an established community of over 100,000 artists from across the country," continued Jacobson. "The fact that the rankings are powered by fans, on a judging platform designed to prevent tampering, is important to Cakewalk in our ongoing commitment to support emerging artists."

"We are excited to partner with Cakewalk to help provide deserving artists with state-of-art recording equipment to help further their careers," shares Ben Campbell, CEO of OurStage.

Winning artists will receive a complete mobile music production studio worth over $3,000 and includes:
* Intel Core i7 Mobile processor-powered laptop
* Cakewalk's V-Studio 100 portable recording solution
* SONAR 8.5 Producer digital audio workstation
* Rapture virtual instrument
* Cakewalk MA-15D studio monitors

Two lucky fans will also win a $2,000 prize package including:
* Intel Core i7 Mobile processor-powered laptop
* Cakewalk Music Creator 5 entry-level recording software
* Cakewalk pyro Audio Creator 1.5 digital music management software
* Cakewalk UA-25EX USB audio interface
* Cakewalk MA-7A micro studio monitors

About the Prizes
The Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor is flat out, the most powerful processor ever created for portable computers. Cakewalk's V-Studio 100 is a portable recording solution for Mac and PC that combines a high quality USB audio interface, DAW controller, digital mixer, and SD wave recorder. When you combine these two, the world becomes your studio. Whether you're on stage, in a hotel room, or just jamming in your practice space, you get the power, functionality, and great sound quality you need to get professional recording results. We've also included a copy of SONAR 8.5 Producer for good measure, along with Cakewalk's award-winning software synthesizer, Rapture. When you're done laying down your tracks, plug into Cakewalk's MA-15D powered studio monitors to create a final mix-down.

The contest begins on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 and runs through midnight ET on November 30, 2009. All winners will be announced at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA on January 14, 2010.
